Aegean Macedonia holds roughly 51% of the territory of Ethnic Macedonia (divided in 1913 after the Balkan Wars). This territory was given to greece at the time, and still remains within it's borders. Over 300,000 Macedonians still live there, and unfortunately lack basic human rights and respect from the greek government. Still, The Macedonian spirit lives strong within the villages, towns, and hearts of the people that live there. Please enjoy the photos of the region.
